Activities for Adults

OUTLOOK: is the name of a new group that has been started at our church. We meet on the third Tuesday of each month to look at topics of concern to us as Christians and explore wider aspects of the Christian and other faiths.
We plan to have discussions based on books, studies, articles, DVDs etc. Visiting speakers will be invited and visits made to relevant places, plays, exhibitions etc. Some purely social activities will also be included. The activities of the group will be determined by its members.
If you are interested in joining the group or finding out more please email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or call the church office on 01737 359269 and leave a message, including your name and contact number.

Drivers:
Drivers is a social group for adults of all ages, meeting on the third Monday of each month. The programme includes speakers, an in-house meal, quiz and games evenings and a meal out in a country pub. The annual membership fee is nominal, although members may sometimes be asked for voluntary contributions to charitable causes in connection with particular speakers.
For more information contact 01737 668410.

Badminton Club:  This is a non-competitive social badminton club, which runs all year round (with a few exceptions). We have a mix of ages from youth to retirement, and play socially for fun. We take existing players but also encourage anyone wishing to take up the sport to come along and have a go. We use feather shuttlecocks and will provide basic coaching of the game.
Our fees are paid on a pay-as-you-play basis at £ 2.00 for adults and £ 1.00 for youth per session.
Please be aware that there is currently a waiting list to join the badminton club.
Location:  Vallins Hall, Banstead Methodist Church - The Drive, Banstead, SM7 1DA

Open House takes place on Tuesday afternoons (2.00 pm - 4.00 pm).

Choir:  For those who enjoy music and singing .  Rehearsals are from 8.00 pm – 9.30 pm  on Friday evenings and tend to be very informal and lots of fun.  The choir leads the singing at the Sunday morning services  and presents occasional items for special occasions.  You don’t necessarily have to be able to read music.  New members are always welcome.  More info: 01737 356815 or 0208 642 0704.
